I’m Jeff Schwartz, Freelance Photographer. I enjoy solving visual problems. I offer a broad range of services including composing and photographing people and homes, artwork and floral arrangements and repairing and discovering hidden content in old photographs. My photographic service area is Western New York from Rochester to Buffalo and everywhere in between.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, I’ve spent most of my adult life in Rochester and now reside in the beautiful countryside of Barre, New York. I have had a life long interest in photography and maintain an extensive collection of over 125 cameras. They range from a few inches to a few feet in size and span the last 100 years of photography from the early 1900’s to today’s digital wonders.
I’m currently a member of the Batavia Photography Club, The Photographic Historical Society (the oldest photographic society in the United States), the Rochester Professional Consultants Network and I am the former president of several toastmaster clubs in the region.
I have given educational demonstrations to the Cobblestone Society, the Batavia Photography Club, Camera Rochester, The Photographic Historical Society and the Orleans County Genealogical Society. Topics have included old photographs, old cameras and most recently digital photography and image manipulation. Please call me to reserve a speaking engagement for your group.

Have your original photographs restored, or make new images from old images. The face on the right is taken from a restored 1915 photograph of the children on the left.
Have your beautiful home expertly photographed and, if you wish, photo-renovate your home! Take it back in time, appearance, and flavor. Imagine what your home looked like a hundred years ago, without modern electric and telephone wires and poles, satellite dishes, antennas, hydrants, or mail boxes. Contact me today to discuss your home portrait project.
Like the image I photographed above, have a photograph of your home made into a beautiful simulated lithograph, similar to the copy of an 1850's lithograph below.
